Terrorism - Remembering 911
The Attack and Understanding the Roots of Terrorism!

What better a person to speak on the real motivations of those who practice terror, then from someone who used to be directly a part of it. Why was America spared form the evils of the world for so long? We were blessed because we supported Israel*
Example: The six day war
It is quite a testimony that this tiny country that is the size of Rhode Island would defeat armies that were numerically superior by many times.
We need to remain the friends of Israel and do anything we can to protect them and support them.
Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
Psalm 122:6-9 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good."

Lies People Believe About 9/11, Iraq, and Bush Today we live in a world of information and disinformation where the Internet can be used to pass on distortions and lies very quickly. By Arthur Daniels Jr.
There are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of websites out there seeking to prove that 9/11 was some kind of government "inside job" perpetrated on us by the U.S. government as a "pretext" for war. People who believe this nonsense will invariably mention the "Northwoods" document, which talks about a plan that was never carried out.
They will sometimes take the PNAC (Project for a New American Century) document out of context to "prove" the government pulled off a "New Pearl Harbor." You even have liberal philosophy/theology professors writing books claiming that 9/11 was some kind of new Pearl Harbor. Yet when you investigate the facts, stripped of the speculative rhetoric, you find all kinds of flaws with these theories, both logical and evidential.
We have abundant evidence, some of which was used in the Moussoui trial, to prove that Islamic terrorists were behind 9/11. To deny this evidence is akin to denying the earth's rounded shape.
Despite the fact that a Federal judge appointed by Clinton ruled in 2003 that Iraq and Al-Qaeda were linked in 911 terrorism, we still have people blindly willing to believe and perpetuate the myth that:
"Using 9/11 as a pretext, the U.S. government launched into a unilaterally grounded war in Iraq, even though none of the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqi and the despotic Saddam Hussein had no ties to Al Qaeda." (words of Ralph Gordon taken from CityFlight article "Lessons Still Unlearned" Sept. 2006).
Interesting words. But very deceptive if taken at face value. Three points of fact should be mentioned here.
First, we went to Afganistan FIRST, not Iraq. Second, it doesn't matter if none of the hijackers were from Iraq. What matters is what organization they were working with, not where they were from. They were Al-Qaeda operatives. That is what matters.
Mohammed Atta, who piloted flight 11 into WTC 1, was Egyptian. Should we attack Egypt? Ziad Jarrah, who piloted flight 93, was from Lebanon. Should we attack Lebanon also? Remember the American who was fighting with the Iraqis that was captured? Should we attack ourselves now based on that logic because he was originally from America? Nonsense.
Third, and finally, we have more than enough evidence from http://husseinandterror.com/ and the aforementioned Federal court case to prove enough of a "tie" between Saddam and Al-Qaeda for any rational person to be able to admit existed.
The last myth that needs to be debunked is this idea that Bush lied about WMD to get us into Iraq. The problem is, people forget that it was Saddam's repeated misdeeds with UN inspectors and violating UN resolutions that got him and his country in hot war water. If people want to believe that Bush lied, then perhaps you can tell us why Clinton said this in 1998:
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons-of-mass-destruction program."
So if Bush lied, so did Clinton, and so did the intelligence agencies of Britain, China, Germany, Russia, and Israel. That doesn't seem reasonable. What seems more likely is that while Bush was busy waiting on the UN, Saddam was busy moving things prior to our troops getting there.
I remember all too well when Bush Jr. was running for office in his first term. People were spreading the Internet rumor that he was shutting down all the traditionally black colleges in Texas. Yet when I began to contact the schools listed, I found NONE of them were closing in any way. Someone simply lied to keep the man from getting into office.
The word tells us to "test" all things and to hold fast to what is true (1 Thess. 5:21; 1 John 4:1; Proverbs 14:15). Too many people are out there blindly accepting what they are told but not testing and critically thinking about what they are being told. Let us not be so foolish in these affairs.
Today we live in a world of information and disinformation where the Internet can be used to pass on distortions and lies very quickly.

Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West
A must see documentary on the real story of radical Islam:
Virginia Tech tribute echoes the World Trade Center
It seems like a small replay of the 911 disaster except that the bad guys were of our own soil. Yet many disasters like Katrina, major flooding, earthquakes, psunamis, highway collapse, amongst many other worldwide events, including hunger, are generating much sorrow. When you see the following video, it just breaks your heart. You wish it could be avoided, and you want the pain to stop, yet it only seems to subside for just a while.
These are not just unfortunate coincidences or happenings, there is a pattern here. Jesus spoke of this pattern in Matthew 24 and He said it would be compared to like a woman in travail giving birth. That pattern of chilbirth is an increase in intensity of contraction and the frequency of contraction. The contractions and pain of those contractions continue until there comes a crescendo of intensity like there is a point that is passed of no return.
Jesus also predicted the fall of Jerusalem in Matthew 24, which happened in 70 AD. He spoke it, it happened and He was right. I believe He accurately has described our times now as well. If what He said about the pattern is true, than it may not be a good idea to ignore the signs of the times. For these troublesome events are prophetically scheduled to increase in frequency and intensity. How many more candles will be lit?
Let's draw near to God as a nation now. It's time. Let us put ourselves into the arms of God.
Remembering 9/11, we should never forget.
Afterthoughts of Child who lost her Father on 9/11 (A child's prayer)
When we see our own children being threatened, many of us go into a father or mother like protection mode out of our love for them. Many of us will do whatever it takes to ensure their safety. We will go to even miraculous lengths like a mother lifting a car off of her child that has been trapped in the wreckage. We wil do whatever it takes to remove the problem or threat to life.
Yet, we really do have a great enemy out there, and there exist a great threat, a threat even to our own children. The threat is persistent and the threat is real. It is the threat associated with this real war. A war that is between religious ideals, more specifically, an Islamic Jihad. Just like in history past there was a previous Islamic Jihad at the tail end of the broken Roman empire, specifically during the Byzantium empire and just after the turn of the 1rst millenium A.D. They meant buisness then, and they mean buisness now.
They are persistent and will fight until their last breath. They fight to bring about their religious ideals and they are a fully comitted enemy. They attack, attack, and attack, in Iraq as insurgents until they wear down their enemy. We have the edge in technology and battle armor, but do we have the persistence and resistence. Perhaps our soldiers do, but we at home, need to really get behind what is going on here and not look at the casulty statistics, but rather, what are our enemies true intentions with respect to us. An enemy that may not go away just because we have withdrawn our troops. We must understand clearly what we are dealing with and history behind what we are dealing with.
I am not talking about the peaceful muslims that do not want anything to do with this, I am talking about those that religiously, militarily, and are fanatically and fully determined to their cause and their effect. They are banking on our weakness and indecisiveness in our political domain. They are banking on our dislike of war and our rememberence of vietnam. They are waiting for us to tire, and the war for them will have been won. Yet, it will not stop there, it may then come then to us, on our own soil. They have done this jihad before, and unless there is something that prevents them to obtain their goals, they may do it again.
We must remember this carefully in our upcoming 2008 election. If we play, we will pay. We must remember to back our soldier's efforts. The war may be unpopular, but some wars must be. For if the oppressor is allowed they will keep oppressing. If we pull back off of our restraints in warring jihadist factions, such as these, it may only produce a devastating rebound later.
For now, it is time to remember just what our soldiers have been doing and what they are going through now. It is not an easy fight, it is a tough fight. These insurgents come out of nowhere and then play a type of dogdeball guerrilla warfare. They get in, they get out, or they are killed. They are not concered with their death. Death is good it is still a victory for them, and they will do what ever it takes.
We should pay honor to our soldiers, who have counted the cost and the sacrifice. They are willing to fight the fight and they have a willingness to protect our families and our freedoms. They have the will to do whatever it takes. The question is for those of us who are at home, do we have what it takes? In any fight or battle it is usually the one who want's it the most who or is the most resourceful, who will finally win. So the question goes out again.
Do we have what it takes?
